Worship Ministry
We exist to creatively lead this congregation into a time of Christ’s exalting and fellowship with God through surrender, awe, and offering; and that through our gathering, our daily lives may be strengthened and equipped to be examples of true faith. Judges 5:3, Ephesians 5:19-20, 1 Chronicles 16:23-29
It is our intention to worship God in a genuine, vulnerable and honest manner. To us at Brookside, worship isn't about a big production or show. It’s about a group of faithful volunteers trying to do things excellently in order to create a culture of true worshipers. Brookside Worship Ministry (BWM) consists of 3 areas of service: The Band, The Choir, and The Crew.
The Band
We have a modern band that consists of 2 guitars, piano, bass and drums. Rob Hockney is our worship leader and we have 2 additional vocalists each Sunday as well. (rehearsals Thursdays, 7:30-9pm, Sundays 7:30-12pm)
The Choir
The choir at Brookside sings standard, contemporary, SATB arrangements. There are around 25-30 singers of all experience levels. (rehearsals on Thursdays, 6:30pm-7:30pm; sings periodically on Sundays, holidays)
The Crew
The BWM tech booth contains sound, lights and MediaShout. We need at least 3 people skilled in any and all of these areas on a given Sunday. (Thursdays, 7-9pm and Sunday, 7-12pm)
If you have been gifted in any of the ways mentioned above, please contact one of the following staff so as to discover how you might become involved.

AS IT ALL TURNS OUT
Brookside Worship Pastor, Rob Hockney, Technical Director Chris Parliament, and former Brooksider, Julia Anderson, released a 6-song worship CD entitled "As It All Turns Out". The CD features original songs written by the three, some of which are sung in Brookside's Sunday AM services.
BETWEEN THE STARS AND THE GROUND
![]() Rob Hockney’s first solo album “Between the Stars and the Ground” was released in 2008. Songs such as “Hymn” and “The Charge” demonstrate writing geared toward a church body, while others like “Clear Your Head” and “You With Me” speak of Rob’s life in general. You’ll enjoy this album if you like catchy songs, organic production and faith-encouraging lyrics.
